Atesia Augusta
The „Atesia Augusta“ magazine was originally published by Ente cooperativo provinciale della stampa fascista, and later on by Ente atesino pubblicazioni. The magazine was first published on a monthly basis and, successively, every two months.
The magazine was published in one of the most critic and intense moments of international history of the time (Patto d’acciaio Roma-Berlino, Italy declares war), but also in a critical time for local important changes (Optionen 1939 and Gründung des Alpenvorlands).
The publishing of the magazine, even if during such a short time span, has to come to terms with changes in the Direction, in the graphic and informative style – an evident sign of the complexity of the time.
From 1939 to the end of 1940, under Mastromattei’s direction, the magazine plays an important political role and focuses progressively on relevant international personalities, with great attention to the political historical scene in Europe.
From January 1941, under Antonio Baldini Rualis’ direction, more changes become evident: the restoration of the original cover, the emphasis on local matters and the publicatione taking place every two months with a double issue, instead of monthly.
