User regulation

The Italian provincial Library offers its services inspired by the principle of equality of rights of the users, without making any distinctions as far as sex, religion, language and political inclination are concerned.

The services

Under the Library’s regulations and continuity principles, the following services are offered:

• reading and reference on the premises
• external loan
• information, reference and reference on-line
• interlibrary loan service and document delivery
• partial reproduction of documents in observance of the copyright regulations and law
• Internet access
• use of multimedia resources (CD,DVD,VHS)
• promotion of the Library

With the exception of photocopying service, scanner reproductions and national/international interlibrary loan, all other services are free.
If necessary, the Library administration will notify the temporary interruption of the service.

Reference service

The term meaning bibliographic advice, assistance in the consulting of on-line data banks and in the retrieval of information and, therefore, eventual reorientation of the visitor towards other Libraries.
Reference service is free and offered in two different ways:
- front-line , during regular opening time, by the Library’s staff
- on-line, within two working days from the informative request, through e-mail service, working requirements permitting.
Reference service can include field trips, Internet / Opac / electronic resources training courses.
