Fondo Luciano Filippi

Biography
Luciano Filippi was born in Bolzano in 1933, to a Trentino father and, in addition to having constant relations with Trento, he actually lived in Trentino (Trento, Càdine, Pinè) from 1934 to 1935 and from 1943 to 1946.
He obtained his University degree at the Sapienza University in Rome with a history dissertation on Italian-Austrian relations from 1703 to 1918 on the Adriatic sea.
He started his career as a journalist at the Mondo, with Mario Pannunzio as chief editor. He was the director of the monthly publication on scuba diving activities, science and technique Mondo sommerso, and has worked from 1974 for L’Espresso, editing its monthly supplements and as senior editor.
He is a linguistics expert, an essayist, novelist and a poet and has published, among others, Cinquantatrè (Milan, 1956), Dio non ride a Prometeo negli anni Sessanta (Rome, 1973) and Il ragazzo di Càdine (Florence, 1997).
