Biography
Born 1917 in San Miniato (Pistoia – Italy).
1939 Composition secondary school certificate –Bolzano’s “Liceo Musicale”  (Italy)
1940 Bachelor in chemistry at Bologna’s University .
From 1943 member of PCI (Partito Comunista Italiano).
1943 to 1945 fighter partisan in the valleys of Trentino and Alto Adige.
Representative of  PCI (Partito Comunista italiano) and of Trento’s clandestine CNL (Comitato di Liberazione Nazionale) ; later on, president of the CNL (Comitato di Liberazione Nazionale) of Bolzano.
1944  Wanted by the german army headquarters, in 1944 a price was put on his head for his capture.
Co-founder of  Trento and Bolzano’s Haydn Orchestra,  he has been it’s artistic director from1960 to 1990.
1960 to1970 member of Rome’s Belle Arti Council .
1970 to 1984 director of  Bolzano’s conservatoire.
1976 to 1979   Republic’s senator for  the Trentino Alto Adige district and European parliamentary for PCI (Partito Comunista italiano).
