The new "library pole"

The new "Library Pole" to come: a great local Library Centre.

The new Library Pole - which will unite the italian provincial Library "Claudia Augusta", the provincial Library "Dr. Friedrich Tessman" and the City Library "Cesare Battisti" - will be the biggest local Library Centre in this area. The so called Library Pole will make it possible to gain access to media and books, in the province's three languages, within the same institution. The new building, which will be an important landmark for the entire population, will contain approximately 1.100.000 books and media. The Library will not be simply scientific and central in Alto Adige, but also a big and modern Library at the disposal of Bolzano's citizens, a cultural centre and a meeting point.
