Services
The Italian provincial Library "Claudia Augusta" was founded with Provincial Law nr.6 –July 30th 1999 and is regulated by D.P.G.P. nr.3 –January 24th 2000. The Library collects documents and works by local authors, studies and researches about the region, historical, cultural, scientific, literary and artistical documents about Alto Adige, such as materials of different typologies - from traditional documents to electronic resources and multimedia. The Library’s property, constantly increased through purchases, donations (see New books) and exchanges between institutions, is being catalogued and can be referred to through the on-line catalogue, based on software ALEPH 500.

Users will have the possibility to suggest new acquisitions through e-mail service, info@bpi.claudiaugusta.it, or by filling in the relevant form.
Users will have to be registered in order do have access to the services. The fiscal code magnetic card will be necessary for all services that require registration.
The Italian provincial Library offers its services inspired by the principle of equality of rights of the users, without making any distinctions as far as sex, religion, language and political inclination are concerned.
